Super Easy Cheese Chips

Made in the microwave in only 2 minutes (or oven), these super easy cheddar chips will instantly give you a cheesy crunchy satisfaction

I really love these cheese chips, they're a perfect snack and are ready in 2 minutes (microwave version) they are also low in carbs!

Cheese

In this recipe I use cheddar slices (not processed) but you can defiantly try using other cheeses!
  • Parmesan

  • Mozzarella

  • Pepper Jack

Processed Cheese

When making this recipe never use processed cheese, it will not harden up after melting in the microwave/oven

Flavours

Try adding some seasoning to make these cheese chips even better!
  • ​Ranch– Sprinkle ranch seasoning over the chips once removed from the oven.

  • Garlic– Sprinkle garlic powder over the chips once removed from the oven.

  • Nachos cheese– Sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and sea salt once removed from the oven

How do you make cheese chips? (Microwave Version)

Cut (or tear) the cheese into 4 equal pieces 
 
Spread the cheese 1 inch apart onto parchment paper on a plate
Microwave for 2 minutes on high heat (time may vary slightly)
Peel them from the parchment paper, let them cool and enjoy!

How do you make cheese chips? (Oven Version)

Preheat the oven to 350 f
Use steps 1 and 2 in the microwave version but instead put the parchment paper on a baking tray.
Bake for 5-7 minutes or until crispy (do not let the cheese get dark)
Peel off the sheet let cool and enjoy!

Prep Time: 2 mins
Cook Time: 2 mins or 5-7 mins
Serves: 1 (snack)

Ingredients

 

  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese (DO NOT use proceed cheese)


 

Instructions

 

​For microwave

 

  1. Cut the cheese into 4 parts

  2. Place the cheese on top of a piece of parchment paper spaced out by about an inch, and place the parchment paper on top of a plate

  3. Microwave for 2 minutes at high heat

  4. Let cool before eating

  5. Enjoy

For Oven

​

  1. Use steps 1 and 2 in the microwave version but instead put the parchment paper on a baking tray.

  2. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until crispy (do not let the cheese get dark)

  3. Pell off the sheet and let cool

  4. Enjoy!
